Translating your title, abstract, and keywords into English

If you are writing your case report in a language other than English, CARE-writer provides the ability to automatically translate your title, abstract, and keywords into English. To do so, select the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen to access your Case Settings. Then select the “Translate” button. There is a minimum text requirement for creating a translation, so please be sure your content is ready and finalized before you request the translation. Next, select the “Request Translation” button.

Your translated title, keywords, and abstract will now appear in the case preview and in the PDF. Toggle the slider to show or hide the translation. You can also edit the machine translation by selecting the “Edit Translation” button. This will bring up a text editor in which you are able to freely edit the English version of your abstract. Select “Done” when you are finished to close the text editor.

Please note that if you make changes to your original title, keywords, or abstract (in whichever non-English language you are writing), the English versions will NOT be updated automatically. You must request the translation again after making any changes. Any edits you made to the English version of your abstract will also be overwritten. For these reasons, we highly encourage you to only request a translation once your case report is completely finalized.
